PASSION PAIN HEALING MUSIC
Amor (Amor La’nae Williams): born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland is a singer/songwriter best known for her soulful voice and inspirational spirit.
Amor began to explore her passion for music at a very early age. During her youth , she learned to play three different instruments (clarinet, trombone and snare drum). She also started writing poetry and songs to express her thoughts. Once she began to share her gift friends and family would invite her to perform at churches across the city of Baltimore as well as other events.
In 2014, she signed with a local entertainment company Sound Empire Entertainment, LLC where she continues to grow as an artist. To date she has had the ability to work with professionals and artists such as producer Brandon “BJR” Randolph, artist and music video director Chris Bivins, vocal coaches Janice Pendarvis and Joy Dobson, and choreographers Fatally Fem.
In May 2017, her life changed when her husband was a victim of gun violence in Baltimore City. She was 8 months pregnant and the news was devastating. However, that tragedy brought a new sense of purpose to her music and her career. After a brief break, Amor returned to music and in December 2018, she released the visuals for her single “Over You” produced by BJR. The video and single continue to receive rave reviews, with many of her fans describing it as the new female anthem. During this same time Amor was approached by Ground Media, a creative agency out of DC that has worked on several documentary film and media projects for national and international brands to be the subject of the pilot episode for a new musical documentary series called “The American Songbook” . Amor has recently wrapped up filming and the episode is expected to be released soon. She also has reunited with producer BJR to work on her full studio album, which is expected to be a reflection of her continued journey of healing.
Despite the tragedy Amor experienced she continues to persevere and be an inspiration to those around her. Throughout her healing music has been her refuge. There is so much more to come for her as an artist and she is excited to have her fans continue to be a part of her journey.
